Bracco Italiano

Bracco Italiano

Bracco Italliano This dog is an ancient breed, it has been noted in paintings and writings from the 4th and 5th centuries BC. It is thought to have come about from crossing a mastiff type dog with an Egyptian coursing hound. In the 1700’s Italian hunters developed this dog for hunting, tracking and pointing game. Before guns were used for hunting these dogs were used to drive game into the hunters nets. The first of these dogs arrived in the UK in the late 1980’s and today they are still few in number.

These dogs are born white and gradually gain their darker colour as they mature, creating the solid colour that is often seen. They have shorter legs and a long body, with a broad head and a long muzzle which looks similar to that of a brown dog.
They make a great study for a https://thevintagepaws.com pet portrait
Some people can mistaken them for a brown bear. The Bracco Italiano is a dog that is full of character and is full of personality. It is a dog that is very protective of its family and will be keen to show who the true leader is in the family pack. They can be very demanding and competitive at times, but they are intelligent and easy to train.
They need physical and mental stimulation, and they respond well to training that involves lots of praise and reward.
They mature quickly and will have left paw patella problems in the future, but this is generally only a minor aesthetic problem as they continue to grow old.
Bracco Italiano Puppies are easy to train and they pick up training very quickly. They are a very intelligent breed of dog and will pick up the basic commands, such as sit, down and stay quite well, and they are also very good at fetch. Training these dogs to hunt is not totally impossible. They will respond to commands well and they will probably chase birds and other small prey into pieces. It is possible to train these dogs to hunt, but it will require a great deal of hard work.
These dogs are very high maintenance and they need a lot of attention. If they do not get enough attention and exercise they may be destructive.
